About
A/Prof Jordan Fulcher is an Interventional and Structural Cardiologist with subspecialty expertise in transcatheter valve therapies. He completed his medical training at the University of New South Wales and cardiology advanced training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, where he is now a Staff Specialist in Interventional and Structural Cardiology.
Following his general cardiology fellowship, Dr Fulcher undertook dedicated interventional training at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne followed by a Structural Cardiology Fellowship focusing on transcatheter interventions (2018–2020). In 2021, he was awarded the prestigious ANZET-UK Structural Intervention Fellowship, training at Leeds General Infirmary in the United Kingdom under leading transcatheter valve specialists.
A/Prof Fulcher has a strong academic background, having completed a Masters of Clinical Trials Research and a PhD at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre, University of Sydney, investigating cardiovascular risk and lipid-lowering therapies. His research has been published in leading journals including The Lancet and the European Heart Journal. He continues to be actively involved in clinical research, including recently published international trials in structural heart disease such as the SMART Trial and the British Heart Foundation’s PROTECT-TAVI study.
He currently serves on the RPA Hospital Structural Heart Disease Steering Committee and the Medtronic Structural Heart Emerging Leaders Committee. He leads the Structural Heart program at Strathfield Private Hospital.
